主讲人简介：

王加存博士于2004年加入蒙莫斯大学，目前担任计算机科学系教授一职。在2009年至2015年期间，他曾任计算机科学与软件工程系主任。自2016年起，他一直担任该系的研究生项目主任。王教授的研究领域广泛，涵盖机器学习、形式方法、离散事件系统、软件工程以及实时分布式系统等多个方面。他已出版四本学术专著，并发表了280余篇论文。其中，他的著作《实时嵌入式系统》已被翻译成中文，并由中国机械工业出版社出版发行。此外，王教授还是《国际人工智能与绿色制造杂志》的创始主编，并担任《IEEE系统、人与网络：系统汇刊》、《IEEE/CAA自动化学报》、《IEEE SMC杂志》以及《国际网络动态与智能杂志》的副编辑。他曾在多个国际会议上担任总主席和程序主席等重要职务。鉴于他的杰出贡献，蒙莫斯大学授予他2025年度“杰出学者”。

讲座内容：

Infrared small target detection, or ISTD, plays a critical role in applications such as disaster rescue and industrial anomaly detection. These small targets are often difficult to detect due to their small sizes, complex backgrounds, and little-known texture information, which complicates detection tasks. This presentation introduces ISTD-DETR, a novel approach that integrates super-resolution preprocessing with an improved Real-Time Detection Transformer (RT-DETR) model. Object detection can also benefit from multi-modal information fusion. This presentation also presents a multi-modality approach for urban pedestrian detection, which effectively combines visible light and infrared imaging to address the limitations of single-modality detection, particularly under low-light and adverse weather conditions.
